We are thrilled to participate in the second annual See & Be Seen frame auction, benefiting the Vision Council’s Opening your Eyes Scholarship (O-YES). Born during the darkest days of the pandemic, in the wake of the George Floyd protests, the auction raises funds to increase diversity in the optical field. Sunwear design legends and wunderkinds alike have donated one-of-a-kind glasses and sunglasses to be auctioned the week of Juneteenth. STATE is proud to be participating for the second year, with a full color kit of the latest STATE x Maxwell style along with a signed vinyl and two concert tickets to Maxwell’s NIGHT tour. This charity sits very close to Maxwell’s heart as he credits the optician that helped him get his first glasses with turning around his school career and leading him into the arts. Maxwell is also proud to sit on the O-YES board. Truly unique glasses, sunglasses, and artwork from the likes of Balmain, Anne et Valentin, Anna-Karin Karlsson, Barton Perreira, Blake Kuwahara, Cazal, Christian Roth for Optical Affairs, Etnia Barcelona, Jacques Marie Mage, Cartier, l.a.Eyeworks, Lapima, Matsuda, Maybach, Morgenthal Frederics, Rigards, Robert Marc NYC, Selima Optique, Theo, Thierry Lasry, and Vintage Frames are also up for auction. O-YES provides full tuition to opticianry school, along with mentorship and a paid internship to high school seniors from Black and Brown communities.
